Parkland at the Gardens FAQ

A:There are 150 suites at Parkland at the Gardens: 100 Hospitality and Wellness; 25 Assisted Living and 25 Enriched Care Suites.
A:There is no assigned seating in any of our dining rooms. You are free to sit anywhere you’d like, and mingle with whomever you choose.

The Citadel Dining Room is located on the main lobby level and is open 7:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.

The dining areas on floors 2 (Enriched Care) and 3 (Assisted Living) are open as follows (note times are subject to change):

  • Breakfast: 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
  • Lunch: 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Supper: 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

A:There is someone on the desk 24 hours per day.
A:There is someone at the front desk 24 hours per day. Additionally, there is an Interactive Emergency Call System in suites and common areas. Each client is provided with an emergency call pendant which is programmed for use within their suite. When they press this it will go directly to our nurses’ station. We have licensed staff on site 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
A:Parkland at the Gardens has a tempered air system. This high quality air ventilation system turns over four times an hour, providing fresh air every 15 minutes. It keeps the entire building at 20-21 degrees Celsius (+ or – 4 degrees) 365 days a year. In the summer it cools the air and removes humidity before bringing into the building; in the winter it warms the air. There are also hot water base board units within the suites so if clients would like their suites warmer, they can be adjusted.
A: Yes, at Parkland at the Gardens, couples can stay together. Depending on the situation, one option may be to live in Hospitality and Wellness retirement living and request the necessary additional services as you or your spouse require them, allowing you to age comfortably in place.
A:Yes, this is your home and it should be decorated and furnished to your taste.
A:No, some younger adults choose to live here for the amenities, services and lifestyle.
A:There is a pet policy in place at Parkland at the Gardens. Please speak with the Lifestyle Consultant for more details.
A:Studies indicate that community is the key to longevity and mental acuity for healthy aging and for peace of mind, as you will have ready access to care if your situation changes.

Additionally, Parkland at the Gardens offers a great deal of services and amenities to enhance an active lifestyle. You are invited to take part in any number of recreation activities that promote health and wellness, and encouraged to maintain an active lifestyle. We want you to feel your best and being engaged and active is an important part of making that happen.

A:Parkland offers Care at Home for those requiring additional services in the comfort of their home. Care at Home provides one-on-one assistance, so when the little things seem big, Care at Home`s caring employees are there to help. Care at Home care providers can assist clients with personal care as well as accompaniment to appointments and stay with you during a post-hospital recovery.

Care at Home also offers a Transitional Package to help you settle into your new home.

A:Parkland at the Gardens encourages independence and client choice. The Parkland lifestyle ensures you can relax in the social spa setting, make new friends and share interests.

If you wish to have a trial run, you can take advantage of our month-to-month rent arrangement. If the lifestyle is not to your liking, you can choose to terminate at the end of the month.
